Mehlinda Heartt is a professionally recognized Harpist, Opera singer, Dancer, Writer, Performer and Composer. Mehlinda began her study of the Classical Harp in 1977.
In 1985 Mehlinda began studying Classical Voice and Opera, and continued her study of Harp and Composition at the University of British Columbia. In 1990 Mehlinda established her music agency 'Harpistry'. In 1996 Mehlinda became a dancer and performer with 'The Historical Performance Ensemble' (Renaissance and Baroque dance).
In 1998 Mehlinda and Angela Brown started a performing company 'Two Amuse'. As a professional Harpist, Mehlinda has performed professionally since 1979. Her extensive knowledge of this instrument has extended into theatrical performances with the harp including costumes and storytelling. Characters such as the Mermaid, the Winter Faerie, Renaissance and Baroque ladies. In 1998 Mehlinda joined forces with Angela Brown and formed 'Two Amuse'. Their shows include: Commedia Dell'Arte with characters such as Arlecchino and Columbina, the Sun King and Moon Goddess, the Faerie Caravan, Aphrodite and Neptune, live art with Opera and many others. Mehlinda is founder of Harpistry, a Music Agency, giving her services as a harpist and singer, and hiring other Harpists, Flautists, and Violinists. She is also an instructor in Voice and Harp. Mehlinda's newest group conceived in 2007 is Blue Lotus. A CD is in the works including live performances in winter 2007. One last group with its conception in 2006 is Celtic Harps a group with several of her harp students. Mehlinda is also a visual artist, designer and builder of all costumes in her shows.
