Rob Thompson’s powerful voice and solid rhythm guitar has charmed audiences in Canada’s top resorts and tourist meccas for more than two decades.

From five-star ski resorts and international festivals to Irish pubs in Victoria and Vancouver, Thompson’s talent and charisma draws both tourists and locals a like.

The music veteran knows how to work a crowd, drawing from a vast repertoire spanning everything from classic rock ‘n’ roll and folk tunes to Top 40 and Celtic shenanigans.

More than two decades ago, the Ontario native ventured west to discover his love for big mountains and even bigger après-ski crowds. Thompson’s personable and upbeat sets became a tourist destination in itself with returning visitors searching him out in Banff, Big White, Kelowna and finally Whistler – Alberta and B.C.’s top ski getaways.

The Whistler resident is an avid sailor who doesn’t limit himself to the mountains, with regular gigs at various pubs in Vancouver and Victoria.
